Linewize Pulse for Principals

A quick check-in tool designed to gain insights into wellbeing and proactively address the school's unique needs.

A collaboration between WAPA and Linewize

Waitakere Area Principals Association has collaborated with Linewize to see our region’s tumuaki become the first region in the world to experience Pulse for Principals.

Pulse for Principals will provide you with an opportunity to reflect, reach out for help if you need to, and access external wellbeing and health support. Importantly, it will amplify the voices of our tumuaki, by providing anonymised insights into the areas where more support is needed in our region.

These insights will inform where the WAPA Executive might focus support, and provide a clear voice around the issues that are having the deepest impact on the wellbeing of tumuaki in the West Auckland region.

Pulse for Principals is a new initiative that WAPA and Linewize are developing to help WAPA get the 'pulse' of how our tumuaki are feeling in their workplace. Our job can be both challenging and rewarding. Pulse for Principals will allow us to know how we can support you.  I hope you will join us to develop this tool to help us support you in your mahi.

Who will see check-in data?

Pulse-laptop-mockup-base-questions-staff-insights-2
WAPA’s dedicated wellbeing support person will have access to all data.

Anonymised data will also be presented to the WAPA Executive in their regular meetings. The data presented to the executive is completely anonymised. The data will be in the form of a heat map, showing where the wins and challenges are occurring for leaders, and will also show the number of leaders that have requested help and the time taken to respond and resolve those issues.

What happens if I reach out for help?

When someone is in need of help

Help requests are directed to your WAPA Wellbeing Support Person. They will receive your request and acknowledge they have received your request. They will then contact you by email or phone to engage with you and discuss the nature of your request and arrange the support you need.
